Programme Overview
The DTID Fellowship Programme brings together researchers, practitioners, entrepreneurs, and policy professionals committed to advancing the responsible use of emerging digital technologies.
Designed for experienced professionals and academics, the Fellowship connects technical expertise with real-world implementation through research, standards development, policy engagement, and international collaboration. Fellows contribute to applied projects, publications, technical guidance, and international initiatives while working alongside DTID’s global network of experts.
Where Fellows Contribute
Capital and Markets Innovation
Contribute to research on trusted digital finance, tokenisation, digital assets, market infrastructure, and transparency mechanisms that strengthen accountability.
Digital Regulation and Standards Development
Support international standards, policy research, regulatory analysis, and technical guidance for artificial intelligence, blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, and emerging digital systems.
Institutional Capacity Building
Develop training materials, policy briefs, workshops, and technical resources that help governments and institutions understand and implement emerging digital technologies responsibly.
Resilience and Adaptation Engineering
Contribute to digital infrastructure, risk analysis, predictive modelling, and data systems that strengthen institutional and community resilience.
Technology Integration and Transition Pathways
Support applied pilots, implementation frameworks, and technology roadmaps that help organisations integrate emerging digital technologies into real-world systems.

Fellowship Framework
Fellows are embedded within at least one DTID division and may participate in cross-disciplinary projects through the Research Fellowship Council.
Initial term of three years, contributing based on project scope, availability, and area of expertise (remote, pro bono).
Experienced professionals, researchers, postgraduate scholars, and entrepreneurs with backgrounds in AI, DLT, policy, law, finance, or environment.

Outstanding contributors from our research activities and volunteer programmes are regularly nominated by our council.
